To email or not to email? For those in love, it’s better than leaving a voice message, says IU prof

480099_w90On Sept. 1, the IU News and Media Team issued a news release about new research by Alan Dennis, the John T. Chambers Chair of Internet Systems in IU’s Kelley School of Business. His research, done with his former Ph.D. student, found that — among other things — in this digital age, an email can be more effective in expressing romantic feelings than leaving a voicemail message. News media around the world were interested in Dennis’ study. He was interviewed by the Chicago Tribune, The Atlantic, Huffington Post, Canadian Broadcasting Co. and the Bloomington Herald-Times (subscription needed).
