In mid-October, a reporter from The Indiana Lawyer contacted the IU News and Media Team for assistance with a story about true crime TV shows and their potential legal ramifications. A murder trial in Vigo County has requested a change of venue because the suspect was featured in the show, “Cold Justice.” The reporter was directed to Anthony Fargo, an associate professor of journalism in the IU Media School, who was quoted in the article, “Attorneys debate impact of reality crime TV shows on the judicial process,” in the Oct. 22 edition of The Indiana Lawyer.
