McRobbie touts IU’s India connection

In March, IU President Michael A. McRobbie traveled to India to help oversee the establishment of a major partnership between Internet2 and the National Knowledge Network, India’s leading research and education network. While there, McRobbie touted the university’s first international gateway office, located in Guragon, India — a suburb of New Delhi. In an interview with the Business Standard, India’s leading business daily, McRobbie explained how the IU Gateway-India will be used to recruit students and support academic programs, workshops and alumni events. He also talked about IU’s long history of engagement with India, including the university’s efforts to help improve research collaborations between the U.S. and India.
