Americans use twice as much water as they think they do, study says

money down drain IU faculty member Shahzeen Attari’s new paper on what Americans do and don’t know about water conservation landed just at the right time for the West Coast, which been experiencing record drought conditions. A Los Angeles Times story about the research was picked up by the Associated Press and appeared in newspapers across the country, especially in the West. Attari is an assistant professor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU Bloomington. IU News and Media and the Gabbe Group helped distribute a SPEA news release about Attari’s study to news media.
