From Indiana to Italy, media share news of IU virtual archaeologist’s ancient sundial discovery

Indiana University’s first archaeo-informaticist, Bernie Frischer, has again grabbed international attention with research mixing the latest in gaming technology with archaeological data, this time using information from NASA to find a 2,000-year-old star chart needed to confirm how a sun dial and Egyptian obelisk were used in ancient Rome.
